What We offer

Workshops

Workshops

Parable Dance provides workshops for disabled children, young people and adults on a project basis for schools, colleges, day centers and other organizations.

Workshops are tailored to suit the needs of each group we meet.

Workshops are taught with an emphasis on ability not disability. Participants are encouraged to share their creative ideas working together as a supportive group encouraging; self-awareness, cooperation, confidence and communication skills.

Workshops are taught by the Artistic Director.

If you have links with other schools or organizations, you may wish to split the cost of your booking by arranging a collaborative project.

If you book a series of workshops, you may choose to focus on a performance, the aim being to share the work with an audience on the final session. Arrangements can also be made for a DVD or professional photos of your project or performance to be made.

Book for a full day @ $350* or contact us to discuss hourly and half day rates.

*Costs are for workshops based in Westchester County, NY and NYC. Quotes may be arranged for locations further afield. Administration fees may also be added based on the length of the project and quantity of written feedback/ report writing required.

To discuss a quote for workshops please contact us.

My sincere thanks for your professional and creative support for what was both a very enjoyable and uplifting project/performance for students and audience alike.

Networks

Networks

At Parable Dance we strongly believe in the importance of community, support, and collaboration. We have created two different networks to help connect people from around the UK and beyond: Cuppa Catch Ups and The Network for Emerging Inclusive Dancers. See below for more information!

Network for Emerging Inclusive Dancers (NEID)
For UK-based dancers, but if you are interested in seeing what goes on, please contact us to find out how to join!

Are you interested in inclusive dance but not sure where to start? Do you need support and signposting to opportunities? Do you want to connect with others interested in this area of work? Join the Network for Emerging Inclusive Dancers (NEID). It is FREE to join, and includes presentations from established inclusive dance artists from around the UK. NEID is best suited for dancers in England, but we welcome those from throughout the UK. NEID was made possible using public funding by Arts Council England. Click here to find out how to join!

Cuppa Catch Ups

Our intention for starting this meet up is to stay connected, share opportunities and feel less isolated even as we come out of the pandemic. The Cuppa Catch Ups are open structure for people to share things, but we welcome all to contribute specific issues or themes for the chats. This is an informal meeting. There will be no formal presentations, it is just a chance to discuss what has been going on and what will be going on in the UK and beyond. If you would like to join our Cuppas, please email info@parabledance.com
